Abundance Begins Before Manifestation

The way we begin matters

At the start of a new year — or any moment of change — many of us feel a quiet pressure to improve something about our lives.

To be more organised.
More productive.
More confident.
More certain we’re on the right path.

Even when we consciously step away from “new year, new you” culture, this pressure can still sit quietly beneath the surface — shaping how we set goals, intentions + desires.

Often without realising it, we begin from a place of lack.

A sense that we’re not quite enough yet, or don’t quite have enough yet, to begin.

And this is where abundance becomes misunderstood.

Abundance is not the goal — it’s the foundation

We often talk about abundance as something to manifest.

More money.
More time.
More freedom.
More ease.

But what if abundance isn’t something we arrive at later?

What if abundance is the state we create from?

Because we don’t move through life — or create meaningful change — based on what we want.
We move through life based on the state of being we’re living from.

When that state is pressure, comparison or self-doubt, even the most well-intentioned goals can feel heavy, forced or disconnected.

We can’t manifest from lack.

How lack subtly shows up

Lack doesn’t always look dramatic.

Often, it sounds like:

  • “I’ll feel better once I’ve done more.”

  • “I just need to be more disciplined.”

  • “Everyone else seems to have this figured out.”

From this place, we may set goals — but they’re rooted in fixing rather than supporting ourselves.

Over time, this can lead to burnout, frustration, or the feeling that we’re constantly chasing something just out of reach.

Abundance as a way of being

Abundance doesn’t ask us to bypass difficult emotions or pretend everything is perfect.

Instead, it invites us to:

  • soften the lens we’re looking through

  • notice what is already present

  • cultivate a sense of support + enoughness before taking action

From this place, intentions shift.

They feel calmer.
Clearer.
More aligned.

Desire comes from trust rather than urgency.

And life begins to feel more spacious — not because everything changes, but because we do.

This is a practice, not a mindset

Abundance isn’t something we think our way into.

It’s something we practise — through how we breathe, how we move, how we relate to ourselves, and how we meet everyday life.

It lives in the body as much as the mind.

And it’s something we can return to anytime — especially when life feels overwhelming, stagnant or uncertain.

A gentle reflection

If you’re feeling stuck or desiring more right now, you might ask yourself:

What would change if I began from a place of abundance, rather than lack?

You don’t need to answer this immediately.
Sometimes the shift begins simply by asking a different question.

Exploring this more deeply

Inside the Inspired Club, this theme is explored through guided practices — including movement, meditation, journaling + reflection — designed to help you feel abundance as a state of being, not just understand it.

If you’re craving a grounded, supportive space to return to yourself and create change from a calmer place, you’re warmly invited to explore the Inspired Club here:
